I really love this game. It IS a tab bit expensive, but its worth it! Really fun and HARD shmup from Cave... Whats not to love!?

This is a great damaku shooter, one of the better bullet shooter hell games i have tried, its fun and quite easy too play, the controls are good, i did have my doubts that useing your finger to fly around but its quite easy even a skilled player Can easy Pick up this game and ahold As easy As in any danmaku shooter. A really good buy for the fans of this kind of game.

Cave does it again. A perfectly paced shoot em up, wonderful visuals, great sound. One of the best games in the app store.

The touch screen is perfect for controlling a shooter game - espgaluda 2 hd is the first "real" game Ive downloaded for the iPad. Exciting, lightning quick controls and gameplay, great music... Yay! Please, cave, make all your other iOS games available in hd mode like this one!

The game is great and looks wonderful on my iPad2. If you like fast action shooters, this is where you need to be! What I would like is a joystick option. If you hold the iPad in portrait, you can not move your character fully across the screen with just your thumb. Once your thumb stops moving, so does your character. This is a bit annoying and forces me to play with my hands down on the screen like a piano. It play just fine like that, my preference is simply being able to hold it in portrait. Lastly, some subtitles would be great, Overall, great shooter - I keep coming back looking for more Cave awesomeness!

love this game, love cave arcade games. was worried how the controls would be but they are Amazing. Would give it five stars but the smartphone mode is not so great. please give port bug panic for ipad!,,

Definitely worth the expensive price for both versions - one of my favorite games now... Only thing which might make it better would be AirPlay so I could watch it on my HDTV and use the iPad to control it.

Bought Bug princess and both DoDonpachis this by far is the best out of all of them.

This is a must buy for any shooter fan! The graphics and music are amazing, so many objects on the screen its mind blowing. I love it! The orice is high but its still worth it. Atleast try the free version you will not be regret it! Also to cave....Please bring and death smiles to the iPad!! They are begging for a hd version!

I have a version of this game for the Japanese PS2 and while a bit downsized for the iPad, it still delivers and then some. Some might gripe about the price, but its worth it to have a Cave gem so accessible on the iTunes store as that PS2 game was easily close to $100 a few years ago to import from Japan. Like most shooters, you can run through the whole game in no time, but if you are serious about these kinds of games, that really is not the point here. The controls work flawlessly and are actually more forgiving than a game pad on a console. I believe this is because you have a very fair sized hitbox around your ship, but not too big to make it too easy. A balanced approach to tablet gaming. Graphics and gameplay are top notch. I actually prefer more subdued games like Raiden or Ikaruga to the whole "bullet hell" type, but this game is so flawless and smooth that it is the genius of how it is executed that really shines through and keeps you playing long after your initial completion. I was happy to see this featured in May 2012 on the app stores Hardcore Games feature. This certainly is hardcore and a nice counterbalance to more mainstream fare like Angry Birds and the like. Bottom line, if you enjoy 2D shumups, this purchase is a no brainier. If you have read this far, do the genre a favor a support these quality shooters. Hopefully we will see other Cave goodies for iOS devices like Ibara in the future.

Very good Japanese vertical scroller. Half the time I cant figure out exactly whats going on but its a lot of fun anyway.

Dont let the price deter you, because this game is great. It goes by quickly as you play through, but the point is to get better at avoiding bullets while also increasing difficulty. If you love this game, then be sure to check out Caves other games. They are equally as fun and challenging!

More epic bullet hell from cave, good replay and extra modes to play through. Alil pricy but worth it.
